What we collect, and why

This page covers rowfire.com and the public demo at demo.rowfire.com. Rowfire installed on your own servers sends nothing to us.

Who we are

Rowfire is responsible for this site and the demo. For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data, email [email protected].

Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, to see how the site and demo are used. On your first visit a banner asks whether we may use a cookie.

  • If you accept, PostHog sets a first-party cookie on rowfire.com, shared with the demo, so one visit across both counts once. It also records sessions: what pages show and where you click, with every text field masked, so what you type is not recorded. Recordings are kept for 30 days.
  • If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is recorded. We still count page views, using a hash that PostHog computes on its servers and changes every day, so a visit can't be followed from one day to the next.

Either way, PostHog receives the pages you view and your browser and device type. If you accept, it also keeps your IP address and the approximate location it gives; if you decline, your IP address is only used to compute that daily hash and is then discarded, so no location is recorded. Your choice is saved in a cookie so we don't ask again. To change it, use Cookie settings, also in the footer of every page.

Surveys

Some pages and the demo show short surveys, and the Feedback links open one. Answers go to PostHog. The email field is optional: if you fill it in, we use it only to reply to you or to tell you about what you asked for, such as a hosted version.

The demo

Each demo visitor gets a private workspace on sample data: the rules, queries and messages you create there. It is linked to your browser by a cookie the demo needs to work, and it is deleted after 24 hours without a visit. The demo runs on Render in Frankfurt, Germany.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles the requests your browser makes to it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
