After releasing a bunch of mixed signals, Xiaomi has finally confirmed the launch date for the Redmi K30 series. Redmi general manager Lu Weibing now announced the launch of the K30[ Sony IMX686 ] on 10 December to replace the 2020 launch on the Chinese social media platform Weibo
The Post made it clear that the first teased 2020 timeline was to show Redmi as a “5G Pioneer”. Xiaomi has claimed that the Redmi brand will adopt the latest 5G technology in 2020. This statement seems to be very common because we are sure. Xiaomi is talking about what specifically.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi K30 is rumored to get a 6.66-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi previously confirmed that the device will carry MIUI 11 out of the box.

What to Know More About Redmi K30
Regarding the upcoming K30 phone, Weibing has announced that it will employ the world’s first high-resolution sensor. The sensor in question will not appear as Samsung’s 108-megapixel camera sensor, as it has already reached the Mi Note 10 aka Mi CC9 Pro. This leaves room for the new 60-megapixel Sony IMX 686 sensor, which can still be seen on commercially available phones.
Rumors also stated that the Redmi K30 may employ a 60-megapixel main camera sensor, which is slightly lower than the resolution counter compared to Samsung’s 64-megapixel sensor, which we saw in the Realme XT. Earlier this month, a reference to “Phoenix_imx686” was seen in a Qualcomm camera library string. Now, “Phoenix” is equipped with the codename of the Redmi K30, indicating that the phone will use the 60-megapixel Sony IMX 686 sensor at all times.
According to a recent leak, the standard 4G variants of the ‘Redmi K30’ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The upcoming Redmi K-Series phone has a 6: 66-inch full-HD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Also, it is reported to be equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
